You will learn practical, do-able, street-worthy techniques that will work for the non-martial artist who suddenly finds herself in a highly stressful emotional, verbal or physical situation. Some topics that will be covered are: personal space, body language, assertiveness, using dialog to control hostile situations, and basic self defense skills. The physical skills instruction focuses on simple movement that use the strengths of a woman's body against the weaknesses of an assailant's body. You'll learn a variety of strikes, kicks, and release, and will also have an opportunity to discuss "what-if" situations.
